Mustique Airport Information
Despite its remote location, getting to Mustique is fairly easy. Most travelers to the island coming from the North America and Europe connect via San Juan or Barbados, from which there are several quick flights available to St. Vincent. There is a ferry service that runs between St. Vincent and Mustique, but travelers generally choose to reach Mustique by air. Mustique is just a short island-hopper trip from St. Vincent; Mustique Airways, a safe and reliable local airline, offers frequent service between the two. Mustique Airways can also charter a small plane to almost any surrounding island (ie. Grenada, Trinidad, Barbados, St. Lucia) for a reasonable price providing they are given advanced notice, as will regional carrier SVG Air. Mustique Company planes also run a scheduled service between St. Vincent and Mustique from Monday to Saturday. Be prepared for a spectacular scene if you're flying Mustique Airways and approaching the island by air. Mustique has one airstrip for landing, a runway that is book-ended by green hills. Though it is perfectly safe and long enough by far, some nervous passengers of Mustique Airways have worried that their little plane would not stop in time!
